Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Part-Time Bookkeeper to join our team.
This role offers flexible hours and is ideal for individuals with a strong background in accounting and experience with Xero.
The ideal candidate would have some Estate Agency background, dealing with lettings and the day to day running of that.
The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and supporting the overall financial health of the organisation.
Duties
- Manage and maintain accurate financial records using accounting software Xero
- Process accounts payable and receivable transactions efficiently and accurately
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure all financial data is up-to-date
- Assist with payroll processing and other bookkeeping tasks as required
- Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
- Support year-end audit preparations by organising relevant documentation
- Ensure compliance with organisational policies and relevant financial regulations
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role, preferably within a small to medium-sized organisation
- Qualified accountant or Bookkeeper
- Proficiency in accounting software such as Xero is essential
- Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general ledger management
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in data entry and record keeping
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while meeting deadlines
