This summer, King’s is delighted to be hosting its first summer celebration of the arts, King’s Arts. King’s Arts 2023 is a five-day celebration of culture and the arts, running from Thursday 22nd June through to Monday 26th June. Designed to offer something for everyone, our programme includes performances, talks, concerts and workshops, as we open our doors and invite our communities to join us in celebrating the uplifting and transformative power of the arts.
Highlights of the festivities include talks by broadcaster Professor Michael Scott and author Anita Anand; Lewis Doherty’s one-man show, Hawk; and a unique walking tour of King’s with artist Jonathan Parker. Internationally recognised musicians, Amici della Musica, perform works by Mahler, Ravel and Brahms, while our partnership schools together with King’s pupils and alumni present a recreation of English maritime history, Ahoy! Sing for the Mary Rose by Alexander L’Estrange. King’s pupils take to the stage, too, in The Government Inspector and Incident at Vichy, their band showcase, and much more.
