Wimbledon’s streets have been transformed into a wonderland, adorned with twinkling lights, beautiful decorations, and festive displays. From the iconic Village to the bustling High Street, every corner is steeped in the spirit of Christmas. Take a walk through the Village and spot the charming shop window displays that local businesses have created for the season.

Christmas Markets

For last minute Christmas gifts, the Love Wimbledon Christmas Markets on The Piazza will run for its final days on 22nd and 23rd December, the perfect spot to pick up handmade and unique presents and stocking fillers for loved ones.

Wimbledon Christmas Run

For those seeking something active before indulging over the festive period, the Wimbledon Christmas Run will take place on Saturday 23rd December. This picturesque course takes you running through the stunning grounds of Wimbledon Common to cover the 5k and 10k distances. Each kilometre is accurately marked out with signposts and plenty of helpers to keep you on track and to encourage you on your way to the finish!

Family Fun and Entertainment

Wimbledon is a fantastic place for families during the holiday season. The New Wimbledon Theatre will stage a classic pantomime and family-favourite, Cinderella, which promises plenty of laughs as well as boos and hisses. Tickets can be purchased via their website, for performances up until 7th January.

Cosy pubs

For the days between Christmas and New Year, spend cosy evenings relaxing in one of Wimbledon’s many pubs. Whether you’re catching up with friends over a drink at The Rose and Crown or tucking into a fantastic lunch at the Fox and Grapes after a walk on the Common, we’re spoilt for choice with pub options!
